Bekasi - Believe it not? In Bantargebang, Bekasi, there is a waterfall that looks like a miniature version of Niagara Falls in America. In fact, Bantargebang overdo attached to the bad image of garbage dirty.
Located not far from the TPU Bantargebang in Bekasi, beautiful hidden waterfall known as the waterfall Parigi. Uniquely, Curup Parigi looks like a mini version of niagara falls in the US. It is located close to the Villa Nusa Indah Housing 5.
Among the citizens of Bekasi, Curug name Parigi had been popular for a long time. Due to its location was not far from TPU Bantargebang, not a few who say that the name Niagara Bantargebang. Although it did not seem convincing, but the waterfall Parigi do exist and fascinating.
detikTravel was time to stop directly to the waterfall Parigi, Wednesday (08/05/2015). Originally a traveler needs along Jalan Narogong to arrive at the area known as the Base 5. There can be followed by a bike ride or trekking to the waterfall Parigi.
Upon arrival in Curug Parigi, it feels a traveler will be amazed at once struck by the beauty of the waterfall. A sense of awe that was wrapped with a bit of disbelief, that there was a beautiful waterfall as in the Bekasi area.
Curug glimpse Parigi also looks like Niagara Falls in the US, just that it is the mini version. The reason is, there is a major fault that seemed cut out of the river and create a mini waterfall. High waterfall was estimated to be only about two meters.
Want to know more, I also had a chance to ask about Curug Parigi to one of the local people who happened to be not far from the waterfall Parigi.
"This river used to surface the same, but because the dredged sand is too long to be like that. It used to be a truck of sand," said Mr. Ahmad, who is one of the local communities.
Naming base 5 being the location Curug Parigi was based on terms of a truck of sand that is divided from 1 to 9 along Jalan Narogong. The sand excavation activities in Base 5 stalled after construction Housing Villa Nusa Indah 5 located on the other side of the waterfall Parigi.
"In the past curugnya popular, could make filming as well, but now it has started to slack," added Mr. Ahmad.
The beauty of the waterfall is largely determined by the flow of water flowing in the river. Due to being the dry season, the water flow is not so much. Only a fraction of the waterfall Parigi water flowed. While the rainy season, the whole side of the waterfall will be flowing water, even to the average permukannya.
But unfortunately, it still looks much junk around Curug Parigi are carried along the swift river. If clean only, then Curug Parigi will increasingly look stunning and beautiful.
